"My life has been full and varied," says Pat. "These are some of the things that have been most exciting and rewarding for me:
- Raising four beautiful children, and now enjoying 11 grandchildren plus 5 step–grandchildren.
- Founding and directing a school of the arts, now called ‘The Music & Arts Center for Humanity'. Originally for visually handicapped children and adults, the school soon grew to include students with all types of disabilities, as well as inner–city children who don't usually have the opportunity to explore the arts. Located in Bridgeport CT, ‘MACH' is now in its 32nd year, serving 2000 people annually. It brings me joy to still hear from many of the students.
- Learning to play and teach the Classical Guitar since 1972.
- As a blind person, learning that you can do almost everything you want to do by doing it a little differently.
- Learning to weave, making beautiful fabric and shawls that bring pleasure to those who see and use them."
"When Martha Spruce introduced me to the practice of Reiki, I knew it was what I wanted to do. During the years I studied and practiced, I found it healed me and gave significant help to those I treated. My Reiki Master Certification was completed in the spring of 2009."
